What Is Thanksgiving?

Hey Kids and Kids at heart!
Thanksgiving is just around the corner then we get to countdown to Christmas, my most favorite time of year. Be looking for new Christmas stories every week until that special day arrives!
I’m super excited for Thanksgiving even though it will look different this year. Our family gatherings might be smaller and we might have to play with brothers and sisters instead of cousins or special friends, but the reason we celebrate Thanksgiving will never change.
In episode 17 we met Miss Michelle Medlock Adams who wrote the book “I Will Not Be Afraid.” If you didn’t hear that story go back and listen.
Miss Michelle is an award winning author who has written over 100 books! She loves children and animals and Stubby and Miss Robin love her books!
In todays’ episode “What is Thanksgiving,” we learn that Thanksgiving is so much more than good food, parades and close family. It’s about being thankful.
Are there things you are thankful for?
Miss Robin is thankful for her family. Her husband Keith who she has been married to for over 42 years. Her grown up children, Chrystal, Jaime and DJ. Her son-in-laws, Eric & Bryan and her five wonderful grandchildren. Our grandsons, Micah, Ezekiel, Urijah, and Oakland and our sweet granddaughter Emerson.
You can actually hear them say goodbye at the end of this podcast.
I’m also thankful for my home, for work, for friends who check up on me and for my five wonderful sisters. Ruthie, Kathy, Carol and Patty.
If you would like to buy this book or any of Miss Michelle’s other wonderful children’s stories you can find them on Amazon or on her website at www.michellemedlockadams.com.

I praise you God because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
PSALM 139: 14-16
