Hey Kids and Kids at heart!
Welcome to Different Isn’t Bad Christmas countdown.
Have you ever seen a deer? How about an Elk? What about a reindeer??
I have. In fact, one day as I was sitting on my deck up at our cabin I watched a mama deer as she led her babies out of our little magical forest -that’s what I call it, to find another safe place to sleep for the night.
During Christmas time we often hear more about reindeer than we do about deer or elk. Maybe it’s because we like to imagine them pulling Santa’s sleigh with all of our presents.
Reindeer are fun but Christmas is much more something much more important. It’s about Jesus who came to this earth to bring great joy to the world.
Today’s story is one of my new favorite fiction stories. Fiction means it’s made up. Just like Miss Robin created the stories of Stubby the Cat. I love fiction. God has given me a gift to write stories that come out of my imagination. I hope that as you listen to today’s made up story by Nicola Killen, it will bring a smile to your face and a jingle to your ears.
Now onto today’s featured presentation.
Here we go!

I praise you God because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
PSALM 139: 14-16
