Hey Kids and Kids at heart!

Welcome to the Different Isn’t Bad Christmas countdown.

Only 14 more days until Christmas!!

I hope you’ve been enjoying the stories I’ve shared. I know I’ve enjoyed reading them to you.

Christmas is special to Miss Robin. Not because of the presents or the good food and bright lights, those are fun but because I know the real reason we celebrate. Do you?

I know Jesus! You can find his story in a book called the Bible. Christmas is Jesus’ birthday? It’s a birthday that people all around the world set aside to remember.

How would you like everyone around the world to remember your birthday? Wow, that would be something!

Jesus is so important that the whole world has a party for Him!

But he didn’t come to the world the way you and I did. He wasn’t born in a hospital or in a warm house, he was born in a stable with animals.

That’s how important animals are to God. They were the first to meet baby Jesus besides his mother Mary and earthly father Joseph.

Can you imagine! Sheep and cows and who knows what other animals got to be there when Jesus was born!!

Today’s story is a made up story written by Martin Waddell called Room for a Little One.

It’s about a kind Ox who invites many different animals into his stable and then invites a donkey who is carrying a mama about to have a baby.

A Special baby!

Listen as we find out just what Kind Ox did and who that baby was.

Stay tuned after the story for questions and a special Christmas message from Miss Robin.

Ready, set, here we go!

I praise you God because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

PSALM 139: 14-16
