What is Christmas?

Hey Kids and Kids at heart!

We are almost done. Only 7 more days until Christmas

In last week’s episode, Miss Robin told you all about how special Christmas is to her and about Jesus whose birthday we celebrate.

That’s why we give and receive gifts at Christmas. Did you know that? It’s because Jesus was given to us as a gift to us.

I hope that if you didn’t know Jesus before that you do know Him now. If you didn’t hear the episode called “Room For a Little One” go back and listen so you can hear about the real reason for the season.

There are lots of fun things we do during Christmas time like eat lots of sugar cookies and candy canes. My grandchildren and I love to sing Christmas songs.

What’s your favorite Christmas song?

I miss all the school parties and church Christmas plays. Maybe next year we will be able to share those with our friends and family again.

Even though this year has been different for sure, it still doesn’t change the meaning of Christmas.

In today’s episode Miss Michelle Medlock Adams gives us a fun way to remember the real reason for Christmas.

So now let’s hear our featured book

Ready, Set,

Here we go!

So now it’s your turn, kids. Pause the podcast and discuss the questions with someone you love and trust

  1. What are some things Children think Christmas is about?
  2. Share with your loved ones the best Christmas gift you’ve ever gotten.
  3. How can you give to someone else during Christmas time?

Next time we meet, Christmas will be done and we will be looking forward to a new year.

As we think about a brand new year let’s come up with a plan to be braver, kinder and different.

Maybe we can make a kindness list with things we can do for others.

Like:

Inviting someone you don’t know to play with you and your friends or

Picking up your toys without being asked.

How about making a special card for your mom or dad or a teacher?

There are so many acts of kindness you can do.

Miss Robin would love to hear about your Christmas stories and your kindness list.

Have your loved ones visit me at www.robinmarie.org and send me your stories and your kindness lists.

I’m super excited to hear them.

So until next year! I love saying that!

Have a BRAVE, KIND and DIFFERENT New Year!

I praise you God because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

PSALM 139: 14-16
