You Are Special

Come out come out wherever you are. I’ve been waiting for you. Welcome back to Miss Robins place where “Different isn’t bad” and kids can be themselves. This is a podcast just for you!
If you haven’t heard my original stories about the adventures of Stubby the cat go back and start at episode 1. There You’ll meet Stubby the Cat and a few of his friends along the way.
From time to time I want to read you stories from some of my favorite children’s authors and some new and upcoming authors that you will only find here on this podcast. It’s Miss Robin’s way of sharing her brave, kind and different heart with you.
Today our story is called “You Are Special” and it was written by one of my favorite authors. His name is Max Lucado.
In this special story, Eli the woodcarver helps Punchinello, a little wooden boy who has a hard time making friends, that sounds kind of like Stubby the cat. Punchinello doesn’t understand how special he is.
Have you ever felt like you weren’t as special as someone else because you were different?
Me too.
Now it’s time to hear this awesome story by Max Lucado. Don’t worry, Stubby the Cat will be back next week.

I praise you God because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
PSALM 139: 14-16
